Signs 4 Sale

Within the UK, USA and Australia it’s not to difficult to find examples of house name signs for sale. Many garden centres and DIY stores have display boards and order forms that are then sent away for another firm, often in a different part of the country, to make the sign and then send it on.

In rural, tourist areas it’s not unusual to find small craft workshops making a range of signs, especially wood and stone ones.

We do not make house name signs, but we’ve searched the web and found over a hundred sites that do make house name plates. Most of these sites are for suppliers in the UK, Australia, and the USA.

We’re happy to mention good quality and wide-ranging house sign sites, or sites offering something different. The following may be worth a look:

Our own ‘Member of House Name Heritage.com’ and red rose logo membership signs that are supplied exclusively through us to our members, are made for us by www.de-signage.com. If you want a house name sign that combines both traditional and modern elements you’ll find it a site worth visiting.

One of the UK’s leading suppliers The House Nameplate Company is based in Wrexham. Its website www.housenameplate.co.uk offers a wide range of brass, aluminium, modern, ceramic and slate house signs and accessories.

For something different www.house-signs.co.uk based in Carmarthen, Wales, offers house name signs in cast bronze and resin slate.

May we also direct you to an Australian site run by Graham Gould who makes a different range of house name signs and is also an expert on house names. His book ‘House Names of Australia’, which Graham has kindly let us use in this website, is well worth a read, especially the section on Doo Town.  His site www.grahamgould.com is much more than just a showroom for the unique signs he makes. It’s the place to order his book and his country music album ‘Soundboard’.
